Life Cykel is a leading innovative mushroom biotechnology company with an extensive range of mushroom products in food, drink & medicinal extracts.

With five urban farms and two laboratories across Australia, it is the only company globally who has successfully commercialised the growing of a variety of gourmet and medicinal mushrooms from coffee waste.

Life Cykel has a dedicated research team with expertise in mycology, biotechnology and nanotechnology.

The Founders:

Life Cykel was created from the passion of two young friends in Perth, Ryan and Julian whose common motive is to empower us towards a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle. The boys discovered that you can grow gourmet oyster mushrooms from coffee waste, and after months of experiments coupled with educating their minds on mycology (study of mushrooms), Australia’s first urban mushroom farm in Fremantle was born! They believe the future of food for the sake of individual and planetary health is unprocessed, grown locally, sustainable and connecting people to nature.

Life Cykel is about harnessing the power of medicinal mushrooms in our everyday lives. These mushrooms each have specific properties to enhance immunity, cognition, energy and stress. They are just about to release a medicinal mushroom micro dose range which is a liquid extract made in Byron Bay from the mushrooms we grow here. This in our eyes is the highest quality medicinal mushroom product on the market as all other companies are getting their products from China. Mushrooms absorb the air, water and soil that they are grown in and therefore believe consuming medicinal mushroom products from China is not a good strategy.
